Unfortunately it's highly likely that you have been deceived too, even if you claim to be a Christian.
Who me? Deceived? Never! If you want to continue to be deceived then please don't bother reading any further. The truth is not for you.
If you are curious, then Behold the "Great Lie"..."You surely shall NOT die"!
While you are considering this information, I imagine you will immediately question the authenticity of what is written here, especially if you have been subjected to a lot of teaching from those called Pastors. While I say it is highly likely that your personal Pastor lies, you may object. However, one thing I can assure you of is that your Pastor will NOT be standing next to you at the Judgment Seat of Jesus Christ. It'll be between you and Jesus my friend. So let's be real.
Most of us may "think" we know the story of Genesis Chapter 3, but we are quickly going to find out that the truth has been hiding in broad daylight for thousands of years. And since there is so much deception, I think we will take the Solomon Approach. After all, most Bible Teachers proclaim that Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived, so let's tune in on what he had to say concerning the matter.
If I stood in the middle of a crowd of Christians and proclaimed: "Billy Graham went to Hell", you can bet every dollar you have that the flock would rise up in strong opposition. I might even get arrested for the kerfuffel that would surely ensue. Why would I say such a thing?
Well Solomon wrote that we all go to One Place: Ecclesiastes 3.20 and 6.6 (ironically 6.6).
[Ecclesiastes 3:20 KJV] All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
[Ecclesiastes 6:6 KJV] Even if the other man lives a thousand years twice and does not enjoy good things—do not all go to one place?
Solomon reinforces his Wisdom Writing by also saying that we are all subject to One Event.
The wise man's eyes [are] in his head; but the fool walks in darkness: and I myself perceived also that one event happens to them all (Ecclesiastes 2:14).
All [things come] alike to all: [there is] one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrifices, and to him that sacrifices not: as [is] the good, so [is] the sinner; [and] he that swears, as [he] that fears an oath (Ecclesiastes 9:2).
This [is] an evil among all [things] that are done under the sun, that [there is] one event unto all...! (Ecclesiastes 9:3)
Now if that doesn't make it clear, then let's look at a single verse a little further along where Solomon summarizes the matter: For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten (Ecclesiastes 9:5).
Interestingly, as a side note, that word for reward in that last sentence has to do with the wages of a hireling, which brings us back to your average Pastor.
When You Die (pdf)
DownloadThe definition of a hireling is one who works for a material reward.
And while you may quickly conclude your Pastor does Not work for "material rewards" and is in this thing for the "spiritual rewards", you must Think Again my friend. If Pastor can't preach the truth about what happens when you die, how on earth could you place your trust in the words coming from "The Preacher's" mouth?
It is here that we might begin to project "What is the Kingdom of God" and ask that you carefully consider some of the major items that are usually excluded from the Gospel on the Good News page of this website.
In the meantime I hear someone shouting: "Paul said 'to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord'"?
Therefore [we are] always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:6-10).
The first thing I want you to notice is that the passage that the Pastors and Pastor's Followers always loudly proclaim is tied directly to the Judgment Seat of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Let this be a lesson on how Scripture Plucking turns one into False Doctrines. At least do yourself a favor from here on out and follow the rule of 7 verses backward and 7 verses forward. In my experience, this is all the distance one needs to read in a passage to unravel much of what is claimed in the Mainstream.
Furthermore, we can look topographically at Scripture, and in this case confined to Paul, to find the truth about the use of certain phrases and idioms in the text. For this exercise we will look at ABSENT + PRESENT, in terms of what Paul said.
And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that has done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I truly, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, [concerning] him that has so done this deed, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, To deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus (1 Corinthians 5:2-5).
Paul used this phrase several times, so it is not genuine to use a single verse in an isolated context to form one of the most important teachings relevant to mankind.
Here is a list of the other verses where Paul uses a similar expression of ABSENT + PRESENT:
1 Corinthians 5:3
2 Corinthians 5:8
2 Corinthians 5:9
2 Corinthians 10:11
2 Corinthians 13:2
2 Corinthians 13:10
We have to learn to bring the Scripture into the light of the truth by looking at what it says in context, rather than repeating the same old lies that have been told for centuries. Let's do this now by focusing on something Paul said. Please notice that the "change" does not take place until the "last trump". However, Pastors usually always teach that a change takes place to eternal life immediately when you die. This strips away the hope we have in the coming resurrection, and continues to spread the same lie the serpent told in the garden...that we will NOT die. The truth is we will all die and stay dead until one of the two coming resurrections.
Now this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory? The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law. But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be you steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15.50-58).
Plato and his modern followers do nothing more than participate in the same 'ol ancient lies.
This is Greek philosophy that comes from even more ancient times, but is mostly understood in modern society as Platonic. But Solomon told us there is nothing new under the sun. Therefore we should not even give Plato any credit for his so-called "wise philosophies"!
Plato and his modern followers do nothing more than participate in the same 'ol ancient lies. And one of the biggest lies of all is that we don't die when we die.
What happens according to Pastor? Well some go to heaven immediately to live in bliss with God forever. The other category is the place of hell where those that are not in Christ go to be tortured forever. BOTH of these teachings ARE FALSE! They both believe the Great Lie of the Serpent in Genesis 3, deny the words of YHWH Elohim, and completely toss aside the "Wisdom of Solomon". You would think every Pastor under the sun has torn Ecclesiastes out of their Bible.
Let's take a look at a key portion of a key passage. For all of the Solomon Worshippers, like the Freemasons (freemason, mason), let's call this "The Key of Solomon":
And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, [that] wickedness [was] there; and the place of righteousness, [that] iniquity [was] there. I said in my heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for [there is] a time there for every purpose and for every work. I said in my heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. For that which befalls the sons of men befalls beasts; even one thing befalls them: as the one dies, so dies the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man has no preeminence above a beast: for all [is] vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again (Ecclesiastes 3.16-20).
Before we proceed, make note that the word there for "breath" is the same word for "spirit": רוּחַ rûwach, and so we should be very careful to understand what is to be understood.
Some take the next verse out of context, but let us consider that this is rhetorical, and in no way is meant to immediately unwind the preceding verses say. We have to put this into clear context with the first 3 Chapters of Genesis, and then we will see Solomon is not defying the clarity of the Creation Story:
Who knows the spirit of man that goes upward, and the spirit of the beast that goes downward to the earth? Wherefore I perceive that [there is] nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that [is] his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him? (Ecclesiastes 3.21-22).
As we proceed, we might want to consider that Believers are the cause of Blasphemy because The Believers' teachings and actions don't line up with the truth. It might also be a good idea to seriously consider what God's Name is that Believers cause to be blasphemed, because it is NOT LORD.
This topic can be reviewed on the page called God's Name.
Here are a few verses that describe the causes of Blasphemy:
For "the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you," as it is written (Romans 2:24) Now therefore, what have I here," says YHWH, "That My people are taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them Make them wail," says YHWH, "And My name [is] blasphemed continually every day (Isaiah 52:5).
"And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I [am] YHWH," says the Lord GOD, "when I am hallowed in you before their eyes (Ezekiel 36:23).
"However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of YHWH to blaspheme, the child also [who is] born to you shall surely die." (2 Samuel 12:14)
Jesus spoke of hell in clear terms that describe death, destruction, and finality.
The broad way is the road to destruction: Matthew 7.13, not eternal torture with a hot poker from a sadistic God.
Instead of fearing men who only kill the body, fear God who kills both body and soul and casts it into the fire: Luke 12.4-5 and Matthew 10.28.
Jesus repeats "DESTRUCTION" 2 times, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:15.16). The word for perish is destruction. The verse does not say "eternal life-death". There is NO LIFE in destruction, but who amongst Christianity believes it?
Jesus states it most directly in John 3.36: He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.
We have a picture of what happens even to God's people when they anger YHWH: And [when] the people complained, it displeased YHWH: and the YHWH heard [it]; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of YHWH burnt among them, and consumed [them that were] in the uttermost parts of the camp (Numbers 11:1).
It's Time to Get Real with the Scripture
Again Jesus in John 10.28: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand.
ἀπόλλυμι apóllymi, ap-ol'-loo-mee; from G575 and the base of G3639 to destroy fully
Jesus says it again in John 5.24: Truly, truly, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. And then verse 25-27 talks about the judgment and how this passing from death to life has to do with "the resurrection and the judgment" and that specific hour!
Search the scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And you will not come to me, that ye might have life (John 5:39-40).
The word for Life means life and the word for death means death. You cannot be alive if you are dead!
ζωή zōḗ, dzo-ay'; from G2198; life.
θάνατος thánatos, than'-at-os; from G2348; (properly, an adjective used as a noun) death.
He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (Revelation 21:7-8).
Death is death brothers and sisters! There is a first death and a second death. The 2nd Death is in fact a death that is the last death. It is final and eternal and takes place by the eternal fire of God, and in this there is no everlasting life.
Blessed and holy [is] he that has part in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years (Revelation 20:6).
So what happens when you die "the first time"? Well you go to sleep and know nothing until the resurrection. All will be raised from the dead, some to everlasting life and some to the second resurrection where the second death has power to destroy forever. Until then we all sleep after the first death.
Consider the following list and then you will have a better understanding of what the Scripture really teaches, and so you can cast off Philosophy and Traditions of Men:
So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David (1 Kings 2:10).
And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead (1 Kings 11:43).
For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he says himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit you on my right hand, (Acts 2:34) Until I make your foes your footstool (Acts 2:35) Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made that same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ (Acts 2:36).
Now, may you, in the true way of God, who is YHWH Elohim, know the real meaning of the "cornerstone verse" most repeated of any verse in the New Testament, even above Leviticus 19.18, which is Psalm 110.1.
I believe Jesus called those pertaining to the First Resurrection as taking part in the "resurrection of the just" in Luke 14.14.
Paul also writes of everlasting destruction that would come upon unrepentant sinners in 2 Thessalonians 1:9. He also warned that whoever sews corruption will reap corruption in Galatians 6:8 and God would destroy the wicked in 1 Corinthians 3:17 and Philippians 1:28.
Concerning the wicked, “their destiny is destruction” in Philippians 3:19.
What's the point of coming back to earth to be resurrected if you're already in heaven?
